stars around the beautiful moon
hide back their luminous form
whenever all full she shines
on the earth
silvery

Join Bay Area labyrinth lovers and experience the mindful practice of walking the sacred labyrinth. Weather permitting, labyrinth lovers and the curious are invited to meet at a pre-determined labyrinth in the Bay Area on the day/night of each monthly new moon, and silently, with mindful presence, walk the labyrinth for guidance, clarity, and inner calm. Since ancient times, the labyrinth has represented the meandering path of the soul through life, death, and rebirth. It is impossible to get lost in a labyrinth, for there is only one way in and one way out. The objective is not to see how fast one can enter and exit, but rather to immerse oneself in the meditative practice of accessing intuition and creativity, integrating the body and spirit, and identifying obstacles that hold us back. The new moon is an ideal time to begin new projects or ventures, and for personal growth. Walking the labyrinth on the day/night of the new moon is a beautiful way to empty oneself of old patterns or beliefs, and to set new intentions while accessing new insights.

Weather permitting, Eileen and earthkeeper friends facilitate monthly full moon celebrations to honor the turning of the seasons, and our ancestors, who throughout most of human history, watched the rhythm of the heavenly bodies with great reverence. Bring your drums, shakers, bells, or whatever makes your heart beat! We gather at 7:30 pm and the jamming commences at 8 pm. Children under eighteen must be accompanied by an adult.
