Earth Day Community Gratitude Altar
As a community, we will erect an altar dedicated to our gratitude for the Earth and all that she provides to sustain us. Altars are a beautiful way to connect with the sacred. Typically, altars serve as the center of a ceremony and symbolically, are the boundary between the material and spiritual worlds. Participants are asked to bring offerings for the altar, such as flowers, herbs, branches, stones, shells, candles, incense, fruit, honey, photos, statues, etc. Once our altar is created, we will then commence with a dedication ceremony that may include poetry, song, music, or dance. All ages and faiths are welcome to participate.
